Crystal lake: Salda

With its rock structure, it is considered closest to Mars soil, even relatives… The cleanest…. One of the deepest… Of course, there are other “bests” for Lake Salda that stretches over 45 square kilometers and has a depth of 185 meters. The excessive interest in recent years leads to a re-discussion of nature and human relations… Atlas from the archive of June 2019…
Misted white, cherry blue… While the milk of the dawn glides over the pine and juniper forests, or at another moment of the day, it can make such sentences in a different light.

As we get closer and watch, the lake understands that the color range of the water shaking our memory; we see it not as we memorize, but in its light, in its mirror, as it works and moves ... No, that's not exactly, we are learning again and again in the canvas of the lake, different colors, times, lights in each color ...

There are no settlements and places to serve holidaymakers in the region between DoÄŸanbaba and Kayadibi villages. Therefore, it was less exposed to human activity and cleaner than the other half of the lake. Scientists examine the hydromagnetic stromatolites (microbialites) in the lake by comparing the "white beaches" with formations called "white rock" on the planet Mars.
What time do we look at the reflections? To today or to the times and colors that began with the first solid rocks on earth 3.45 billion years ago and when the earth scientists called it "Arkeen period"? Science says Salda shows "Arkeen" times.
What's in Salda's memory, what else is there? I look at the shores that suggest the adventure of white on earth. Those who compare the beaches of the Republic of Maldives with a nickname "Saldives" are called these white formations; I'm smiling. If you want to compare, follow science, I would say: They describe the places that can be kept in the archive of the Stromatolites, which are defined as the oldest fossil in the world, as follows:
“These are observed in several locations,” says Nurgül Balcı, Cansu Demirel, Mehmet Ali Kurt, who are doing an interdisciplinary study with the title of “Geomicrobiology of Lake Salda and the Current Stromatolite Formation” and they continue: “The most important examples in the world are Shark Bay (Western Australia), Exuma Sound (Bahamas). In our country, Van Lake and Salda Lake are. ”

After entering the YeÅŸilova district of Burdur, the relationship of the lake begins with the eye in half of a 4 km road. There is a tent and wooden house site under the control of the municipality. YeÅŸilova Municipality has established a restaurant that meets the civil needs of the people in this camp area in Kayadibi. There are young men who act with positive feelings and delicacy. Özgün Özbek, Murat Karadaban and Melih BaÅŸbuÄŸu…
Salda Lake is a very geologically special place. This place also hosts seaweed and 110 bird species.

As soon as I want a water, the first stuns and the first laughter are coming; Özgün Özbek asks “Is it Satımsu”? I hesitate. I think maybe it is a local brand. Özgün said, "We drink water from the tap here, we call it" water "for short, and we call it" satsu-water "to the packaged." Is it a contribution to Turkish? In my opinion, the water goes into the accumulation of a country where water is bought and sold.

When you say the identity of Lake Salda, you will find many entry gates: For example, “It is known that the Salda Lake formation is a tectonic formation that occurred approximately 5 million years ago between a late myocene and an early pliocene and is still active.”
Or you can start as follows: "Turkey's southwest" Lakes Region "of which he also called" a term called and revenue more "closed system developed on ophiolite rocks are extremely alkaline lake." Oceanic crust material in ophiolitic, that is, geology-plate tectonics.

If I am content with the patterns used by geologists who are avoiding terms when explaining to non-geological people like me: “Formation / layer that explains the relationship between different rocks (gabbro, diabase spilite) since each of Kalubela (creation)…”

The white beaches of Lake Salda actually attracted not only those who appreciate it, but also those who tried to show the wealth they had in every beauty they found, to destroy and destroy it. For example, while some people could not even stand with shoes, some organized "events" which they called "Jeep Safari".
It seems to be somewhat calm now; Those who wash their luxury cars and motorcycles on the lake are not seen.

Each stream has created a delta when it reaches the lake, its own rotten. It can be seen here, the bird nation with more than a hundred varieties who come to Salda and live here; because streams carry their food here.

LAKE WITH LAKE
"A person determined to defeat nature ..." He does not stop, he fights with sentence weapons and institutions. The most important source feeding the lake is Düden Stream. A pond was recently built on top of this stream. This irrigation pond was intended to promote industrial agriculture here. Industrial farming, animal husbandry, of course, yields in the short term, but soon leads to major ecological and economic losses. It is not me but the lands that are ruined and barren. These and other phenomena lead me to approach industrial agriculture critically; However, while working in a field, I try to look beyond what I have adopted or have not adopted.
Due to these, I once traveled at the highest points of the EÅŸeler Mountain overlooking the villages, countryside and agricultural plains. There are ponds. The waters are blocked. The connections between Salda and the stream were struck. Okay, agriculture is not higher than the previous years.

Mümtaz Åženel, who won the mayor in the March local elections of 2019, is in one of the conversations: “Agriculture does not increase or improve by making a pond. The farmer's expenditures, especially the basic objects such as diesel oil and fertilizer, are not dealt with by the peasants. Agriculture requires making the right production under the conditions and quality that is suitable for that product and the state is obliged to support it. ”

Some researchers who are interested in the state of white on these coasts, "The whiteness rate of the hydromagnesite which gives the white color to the shores of Lake Salda is 95.60 percent."
Although the formation mechanisms of these organic sedimentary structures, which are considered to contain important data about the earth's primary period, are controversial, they are commonly attributed to microbial effects. The formed carbonate sediments determine the geochemical character of the environment in which the minerals are born and live.

We are going to Kayadibi Village, passing by the shore of this whiteness… There is a pond here. Lawsuits have been filed against this. The Governorate reported "EIA is not required"; The Isparta Administrative Court did not see any harm in the construction of the pond, which could affect the fate of Salda, and removed the case from being a lawsuit, "finding the project in accordance with the law". Of course, the reactions about the quarries opened to make these ponds received the answer, "The quarries are environmentally friendly, not the reactions."

However, there should be a geological heritage with the elements it contains, reproduced and renewed, and in such a case, not only geologist, map and environmental engineer, but also scientists who study water interdisciplinary. It happened. Maybe when the lake runs out…

Looking at the shores of Kayadibi, the lake; opposite, the nose they call Kaya Tepe is reflected in the water; this reflection exists in almost every moment of sunny times; From color to cardinal to red, from lemon to plum color, mint to green, it stretches and shortened by tens of colors… Rocks that glow like honey foam in dawn, blue purple in the midst, become a plague. There are some traces of ancient foundations in the heights; Some of the researchers who write on these structures say “Deynus Castle”. But there is no scientific publication about where this name came from, nor about the features and times of the structures.

As far as we can understand, even if there is a scarcity in terms of archaeological publication, the prehistoric history of Burdur is narrated based on the rock paintings in the BaÅŸkuyu Village of YeÅŸilova. The dates here are related to the paleolithic age.
Areologist Alime Çankaya is one of the publishers in terms of the rock paintings in the region: “To the north of a stream bed passing north of Baynaz Tepe, which has a destroyed prehistoric mound on the borders of Baskuyu Village, and a slope mound to the southwest of the south, a monoblock rock that is broken from the bedrock to the southeast of the rock. In the emphasis technique, three of which can be selected on the slope today, two symbolized figures, which can not be understood, can be observed besides the stylized goat pictures, which are given from the profile, double-headed triangular body, long horn, 20 centimeters high, 14 centimeters long. ”

Who knows, maybe it was once the homeland of wild goats; Because Alime Çankaya explains the rock paintings and periods on the shore of the Yarisli Lake next to Salda: “In the technique of highlighting 2 meters high, four stylized goats with a long and steep horn, 21 centimeters tall, 19 centimeters long. A deer, 31 centimeters high and 20 centimeters long, is stylized with a tree-shaped horn and a steep tail. There is a slope mound with prehistoric period data on its surface, three mounds and a Phrygia and Lydia culture intertwined on the surface of the rock-top paintings, 100 to 300 meters away. ”
The open door to tell Salda and Burdur in terms of archeology is Hacılar Mound and Hacılar Büyük Mounds.

This mound, 26-27 kilometers southwest of the city center of Burdur, is also on the edge of a water, on Koca Çay and 12 layers were identified in three main cultural phases. The explanatory elements of the first bronze age with the first phases of the Neolithic Age came out here. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Under the honorary chairmanship of Refik Duru and Prof. Dr. Under the presidency of Gülsüm Umurtak, structures and accidents (adjacent rooms) belonging to defense systems that were discovered in recent excavations allow us to re-discuss the lesser known aspects of this age in Anatolia.

SALDA'S BUDGET
On the one hand, I look at the pond that cuts the water flowing from Kayadibi to Salda, on the other hand, I think about them… However, this water is a source with a seasonal flow, which dries well in the summer months. But this is not just that; A pond was built on DoÄŸanbaba, Dogçayı, Koyudere, DoÄŸanbaba and Kuruçay, which are among the Kuruçay streams.

The possibility of Salda Lake to share the fate of Burdur Lake, the relative of the geography, makes people think. The evaporation rate of Salda, which corresponds to 22.34 percent per annum, and 26.33 percent of the undernourished sources, is about 54 percent. If there is a budget, lakes also have a budget. The difference is here: When people steal from the budget of the lakes, they cannot object; because he has a mouth and no language. But then one day it comes dry. The thief son of Adam is staring at his hand.

SHOULD WE MAKE TOURIST AND A LAKE?
YeÅŸilova's DeÄŸirmen Mahallesi has made it a tradition to open iftar together during Ramadan. It is a great tradition to share what is on hand, to meet up and to have conversations. When we went there, a good season was read in memory of Muzaffer BaÅŸ, the head of the late Youth and Sports Club, who was accepted as the sports leader of YeÅŸilova youth. The people of YeÅŸilov call him “The Great Captain”.
One name of the world is the Blue Planet. Those who look at our world from space see a blue dot here; because the dominant color on the planet is blue.

This is how it is so, most of those who are researching the art of painting say; what name does blue have in European societies until the middle ages; This color comes almost at the end of the medieval word, on paper, on the cloth… As if it had risen from the ground rather than like from the sky.
Salda is considered as key geology not only for the earth but also for the soil of Mars.

It is not known whether the lake got its name from the village or the village, but two things occupy the agenda in Salda Village these days. Firstly, ponds made in everyone's village could not be built in their village. The protests, this time, did not result in unfinished construction. For this reason, the people of Salda are asking every stranger who comes to the village from a little above: “Are you environmentalist?” If you are not, whatever, if you are environmentalist, you burned: Dudu Kayıksız: "We want the pond to be built," he says. Second, it will determine the fate of the lake rather than the village. The part of Salda Lake called "white islands" is at the entrance of this village. In previous years, villagers had huts where they sold souvenirs and local products. Now the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization has decided to make a “Garden of the Nation”, which includes this area, and all the huts have been demolished. So what is the scope of this project? The Ministry's statement is as follows:
“We will declare this place as a special environmental protection area in order to protect the environment and to protect our cities within the framework of the manifesto announced by our presidency. Within the framework of this announcement, we will make Salda National Garden in an area of approximately 300 thousand square meters. This will also be a first. Our tourists who come here within the framework of the national garden project will park their vehicles in the parking lot we will build. By making the arrival and departure roads under better conditions, we will have made many arrangements within the scope of this project that will allow our citizens to come to this region to rest in bungalows, cafeterias, walkways, and promenade areas. ”

Some words sound good: like “protecting the environment” or “special environmental protection area”… It will be clear later on how the operation will work. Because concrete has been poured in some places. There are toll booths at the entrance and exit. For the results of making this place as a "parking lot" or "festival area", Assist. Assoc. Dr. Erol Cutter says: “Artificial parks should be built in the city. This is a natural museum. This is a unique nature park. ” The main concern is that concreting will make consumer crowds easier to find here.

As a geography teacher, especially Halil Ä°brahim Erçoban, Mehmet Aytar and his own region, we sit with Elveda Barak, who is interested in geography science and gives effort. Barak said, “The effects of ponds should be evaluated, of course, but the problem is that so many people start to come to this lake. All these attacks will kill this lake very quickly. ” Halil Ä°brahim said, “Those who oppose the construction of a pond have attached a teran that many tourists come here. "It seems as if the tourist does not come, Salda deserves to be destroyed." Indeed, none of the people I spoke to said, “Salda must live because it is Salda”, it does not say… Whether it is a tourist or a pond or a festival or a rally? Moreover, some sources say that 300 thousand people came here last summer; some 500 thousand… These figures are too high for this lake…

Mehmet Aytar, from Niyazlar Village… There is a distance of 15 minutes between the village and the lake. But there are three chrome stoves around his village. Aytar: “I call my village 'the most beautiful in the world'. Of course, this is my opinion. Because we sleep with the sentence, we wake up there, we do not say "the animal is too candid" We say “animal candir”. Murder, animal torture are not subject to us. But now in the slightest wind chrome rust (waste after rubble) is dusting the village. We, the people, are not souls for those who are greedy for money ... ”

I think the actions of Antalya, Isparta, Burdur, Denizli, KaÅŸ components (Platform A) against those who measure the value of the environment only and only with money. Platform spokesperson Gif Gündüz said, “The chrome mine quarry on the border of Niyazlar Village is in Bördelik, which is the main water source of the potable water of YeÅŸilova District. Bördelik is also the main water source of DeÄŸirmendere. Niyazlar is about 4 kilometers from the village center. The grinding plant of this quarry is in Niyazlar Village, one kilometer from the village center. This plant, which produces excessive dust, is directly above the DeÄŸirmenderesi Creek waters that feed YeÅŸilova Pond. ”

People are in trouble. Fortunately, there is Ä°brahim Özbek. The skill of Uzbek is concentrated on grapes. "Even a bunch of grapes wouldn't be wasted in his hands," they say. He treats the grapes in folk songs, poems, influences (ideas)…
MOUNTAIN
It is framing the color of cyan pomegranate flower. The night sky is souring in the lake, the cherry rot, the color of coral… The water green encompasses them; full moon lilac… The moonlight gives an endless dawn to the lake… I think that scientists compare Salda with the soil of Mars. Some of those who study Kalubelaya, its primary life forms and environmental conditions do not limit the effort to understand the geobiological factors they call “controlling actors” to life on earth only. It also invites us to look beyond the earth to other corners of the universe: M. J. Russell, J. K. Ingham, V. Zedef, D. Maktav, F. Sunar, A. J. Hall and A. E. Fallick began to study the rock structure Salda and Mars exactly twenty years ago. Beyond the whiteness, which we call “ringlets”, with the structure of Salda, taking the similarities of the crust structure of Mars, they take the discussion of “Is there life on Mars” to another stage? They are similar to the rocks with content… Moreover, we can see this in this gap in very few parts of the world ”.
Night turns. Lunar dawn in Salda… Science is excited by findings from other parts of the universe. Seher misty pink. My heart is a churning of the sea, a thin cyan dreamhouse ... Is it coming in the morning? Request! In Salda, the light, not the time, the heat hidden in it tells us to live ...
