Theater Entrance Found in the Ancient City of Aigai

In the ancient city of Manisa Aigai, an important entrance to the theaters, which were the important gathering centers of the cities, was found to be 2.200 years old entrance called vomitorium.
In the ancient city of Aigai dating back to the 8th century BC, Assoc. Dr. The excavation team headed by Yusuf Sezgin unearthed the 2nd 200-year-old vomitorium of the Aigai Theater in this year's work.

Assoc. Dr. Yusuf Sezgin stated that the excavations in the ancient city reached important findings about the social life of the city in 2004 and added a new one to the finds every year, and said that the vomitorium they brought out this year was one of them.
Sezgin stated that they had dated the building before the 2nd century BC and that the 3-meter-wide and 6-meter-long building was built in the form of a vaulted corridor to bring the audience from the ancient road east of the theater, which has a capacity of 6,600 spectators, into the theater.
