tiziano vecellio life and works

Tiziano, the representative of the High Renaissance, creator of the "psychological portrait" and considered the father of painting art, was born in 1488 in Pieve di Cadore.

At the age of nine he entered the workshop of painter and mosaicist Sebastiano Zuccato in Venice. Later, Giovanni Bellini applied to Gentile Bellini's workshops. He made wall paintings for the big churches, and then he gained great reputation as a portrait painter.

In 1508, Fondaco dei Tedeschi, the center of German business in Venice, adorned the ceiling. However, due to the humid weather, these works disappeared.

In 1511, he made frescoes of the churches of Carmelite and Scuola del Santo in Padua.

In 1513 he founded his own workshop in Venice. In 1516, his master Giovanni Bellini took his title as the principal painter of the Republic of Venice. Between 1519 and 1526 he made many paintings for the churches of Venice. He performed compositions for Palazzo Ducale's large meeting room.

Balanced masses used a common rhythm to develop a new figure understanding. He achieved the desired transparency and solidity in the way he used the colors. In his portraits he reflected people in the most glorious, strongest, and most affluent way. With his tiny brush strokes he made use of his portraits, shadow and light games. He used bright, impressive colors in his works. The spirituality of the figures in religious works and the sensibility of the figures in mythological works have increased.
